1. Who we are

Controller: TIC Editorial Ltd., Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

2. Data we collect

TIC collects only the data needed to operate the website, improve our content, reply to your messages, and meet legal requirements.

Data you give us directly

  • Contact form data — your name, email address, country, message topic, and message content when you use our contact form or email us directly.
  • Newsletter data — your email address and country if you sign up for our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Comments and reviews — if you post a reader comment or submit a scam report, we collect your name (or display name), your email, and the content you submit.

Data we collect automatically

  • Log data — IP address, approximate location (country/city level only), browser type, operating system, and the pages you visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies we use and why.
  • Analytics data — aggregated, anonymised usage statistics through our privacy-first analytics provider.

TIC does not collect, store, or process any of the following, and we will never ask you for them:

  • Your trading account password, MT4/MT5 login, or broker credentials.
  • Your bank card number, CVV, or banking credentials.

  • Your consent — newsletter signup, non-essential cookies, reader submissions.
  • Legitimate interests — replying to your messages, securing the site, measuring aggregated site performance.
  • Legal obligation — record-keeping, responding to valid regulatory or law-enforcement requests.

You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time by emailing legal@tic.co.tz. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that has already happened.

5. Who we share data with

TIC does not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the website and only for the purposes listed above. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection contracts.

  • Hosting provider — stores the website and log files.
  • Email sending provider — delivers newsletter emails and contact-form replies.
  • Analytics provider — measures aggregated site usage. We use a privacy-first provider that does not sell data.
  • Legal advisers — on the rare occasion we need legal advice on a specific matter.

We also share limited, non-identifying data with brokers when you click an affiliate link (for example: which affiliate link was clicked and when). We never share your name, email, or other identifiable data with brokers. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
