Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) would like to inform the public that it has opened four (4) new zonal offices. The new zonal offices are the Eastern Zone which will be in Dar es Salaam within the Regional Commissioner’s Office Block along Kawawa Road covering Dar es Salaam and Coast Regions. The Southern Zone Office is in Mtwara within the Regional Commissioner’s Office Block which is along Tanu Road covering Mtwara, Lindi and Ruvuma regions. The Western Zone office is in Kigoma within the Regional Commissioner’s Office Block located along Lumumba Road targeting Kigoma, Tabora,Katavi and Rukwa regions. The Central Zone Office is in Dodoma Region within the Municipal Building along CDA Road servicing Dodoma, Morogoro and Singida regions.

The Centre has other zonal offices in Moshi which focuses on  Kilimanjaro,Arusha,Tanga....

Tanzania's investment promotion agency call for Chinese investors


DAR ES SALAAM, April 14 (Xinhua) -- "I would like to welcome Chinese investors to come and invest in Tanzania and we will facilitate them in all ways," says Geoffrey Mwambe, the Executive Director of the Tanzania Investment Center (TIC). TIC is the primary agency of the Tanzanian government to coordinate, encourage, promote and facilitate investment in Tanzania and to advise the government on all investment related matters. Since the government of Tanzania is focused on industrialization, Mwambe encourages Chinese companies to come and invest in Tanzania. "Some of them have shown examples and we welcome other Chinese companies to do the same," he says in an exclusive interview with Xinhua.

The Executive Director of Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) Mr. Geofffey Mwambe was among the presenters during the meeting of pharmaceutical industry stakeholders from within and outside Tanzania who gathered to discuss strategies to accelerate investments in this sector. The meeting was held on 4th April, 2018 at JNICC.


During the meeting the Minister for Health, Community, Development, Gender, Elderly and Children Hon. Ummy Mwalimu (MP) said that, investors should strategically invest in pharmaceutical industry considering the fact that the Government spends huge sums of funds to import medicine and medical equipments. It was reported that about 94% of the medicine....

The Japanese mega investor Mitsubishi has been advised to support the industrialisation drive by investing in the automotive and spare parts manufacturing in the country. This was requested by the TIC Executive Director Mr. Geoffrey Mwambe when meeting Mr. Daisuke Aoki the Mitsubishi Deputy General Manager and African Representative.


Speaking at the meeting Mr. Mwambe said “Mitsubishi has been present in Tanzania for so many years and it’s now time for to think of investing in the industrial sector since there is clear market within East Africa and SADC region”


Mr Aoki briefed TIC on the intention for Mitsubishi to invest in the opportunities available especially investment in agro processing, motor vehicle assembling industry, transport, education....
